Liquid Emulsion Portraits on Porcelain

These portraits merge hand printed photography and ceramics. Starting with hand-cut collages of female portraiture, the images are transformed into large-scale negatives. Blending storytelling, science and darkroom alchemy, these negatives are then contact printed onto porcelain disks that have been brush-coated with a sensitised silver gelatin emulsion.
